Yesterday afternoon, my boss told me about a really cool little free program called SlickRun. It sits in a customizable part of your screen providing a quite powerful macro capability. It has various built in commands and you can create your own. I've not yet totally digested all of it's features but I have been able to determine that it'll be a big productivity booster.

This is my first post into this new blog category. I created this category because I'm finding myself blogging more often about IT related issues that do not fit in any of the other blog categories. I've been putting those entries in my main blog. To make it easier to find my IT related stuff, I decided to put future IT related blog posts into thier own category. Anyway, this blog will work like all the others do. Site users can comment without being moderated (as long as they keep it clean and spam-free) while anonymous visitors and trackbacks are moderated.

This video, found on YouTube, depicts someone trying to write a Perl script with the voice recognition system in Windows Vista. Readers should be aware. At least once the intrepid perl scripter got very frustrated and uttered some language that might not be appropriate.

 Who could possibly want to kill this little 19 pound bundle of cute and cuddliness? Well, according to this FoxNews.com story, there are some so-called "animal rights activists" that think this, by all apearances happy, little polar bear cub would have been better off if the zoo had euthanized it when it's mother abandoned it. They actually believe that this little guy would have been better off dead than raised by humans!

Personally, I don't support any of the democrat candidates. However, I hope lots of people see this video. If I had to choose between only Hillary or Obama I'd choose Obama hands down. I wonder what interesting political videos will appear on YouTube after the primaries are over with? I also wonder what the effect will be if some candidate decides these videos violate the McCain - Feingold Campaign Finance Reform Act that was foolishly signed into law by President Bush. He gambled that the Supreme Court would strike it down, which they didn't. But I digress. Watch the video. It's interesting. |
