"In the beginning we were all fish. Okay? Swimming around in the water. And then one day a couple of fish had a retard baby, and the retard baby was different, so it got to live. So Retard Fish goes on to make more retard babies, and then one day, a retard baby fish crawled out of the ocean with its mutant fish hands... and it had buttsex with a squirrel or something and made this. retard frog squirrel, and then that had a retard baby which was a... monkey fish-frog... And then this monkey fish-frog had buttsex with that monkey, and... that monkey had a mutant retard baby that screwed another monkey and... that made you! So there you go! You're the retarded offspring of five monkeys havin' buttsex with a fish-squirrel! Congratulations! " -- Mrs Garrison.

I just upgraded the system to version 4.6.2 of DotNetNuke.  I also upgraded the blog, forum, and events modules (blog is the only one currently in use) to the latest versions.  Let me know if there are any problems.

It has come to my attention that the IARU, an international body whose recommendations are traditionally adopted by governing bodies as the official band plan for amateur radio world wide, has published a new band plan that is supposed to go into effect January 1, 2008.  This band plan is very similar to the one the ARRL favored but dropped, with a promise to revisit, after the ARRL membership and hams in general soundly rejected it.  It looks to me that K1ZZ and others among the ARRL leadership have gone to an international body to make an end-run around the wishes of the ARRL membership, who they're supposed to be representing.  The new band plan divides the amateur radio spectrum by bandwidth instead of by mode and in most places in the HF spectrum, the widest bandwidth allowed is 2.7 khz.

This just chaps my hide.  According to this article, a dude in Texas is being charged for burning a Mexican flag.  What the #$@!!!!!  The loonies in the courts say that burning the American flag is protected as "free speech" but this dude who burns a Mexican flag is brought up on charges.  What a great big steaming pile of $#!+.  Nothing in recent days as made me angrier than this.  I'm so angry I can't even think rationally.  GRRRRRRR!

This article is cool.  In a scene right out of the Beverly Hillbillies, Aussie doctors recently saved the life of a person suffering from poisoning by a chemical found in anti-freeze by giving him an alcohol drip.  When they ran out of pharmaceutical grade alcohol they went to the local package store and picked up a case of vodka which they fed him via nasal stomach tube.  He got the equivalent of three standard drinks an hour for three days while in intensive care and made a full recovery.  Granny Clampet called her moonshine "rheumatism medicine".  Perhaps it was good for more than just rheumatoid authritis.  :)

This morning, I took a typing test online just to see how much i've improved over the almost two years (praise God) since I've had a flareup.  Here's the link:  http://www.typequick.com/ttest/testyourskills.html

Anyway, it was quite cool.  It consists of some text that you have 3 minutes to type as much as you can into a text box.  Here's my results:

Number of words typed: 189
Test duration: 3 min
Speed: 63.2 words/min. (316 keystrokes/min.)
Error penalty: 9
Accuracy: 95.3%

I find this article to be kind of interesting.  It clearly places the blame for greenhouse gasses on economic prosperity.  This simple fact lays bare the true intentions of those who are pushing the global warming, greenhouse gas hysteria.  They're simply opposed to economic progress.  They want the lifestyles of humans to be rolled back to that of the dark ages.  Only by doing that can we stop the economic progress and it's greenhouse gas byproduct.  What a crock.
