According to this article from IceCap, for the last decade or so MEASURED global temps have held steady in spite of a rising amount of CO2 in the atmosphere. I wonder what the global warming nazis think of that? Many of those so-called scientists who continue to support the global warming hysteria ignore actual measurements in favor of computer models. The computer models would seem to support thier flawed conclusions about global warming while actual, real-world data does not.

Here's another article where, unless you read it carefully, you'd come to the conclusion that the SUV was an EEEEEvil beast that took it upon itself to run amok and kill several people. In the second paragraph it states the driver's name and that they lost control. However, if you read the entire paragraph, it reads as if it was the fault of the SUV... "The white Ford Explorer was speeding at more than 55 mph Saturday night near Kettleman City about 50 miles south of Fresno when the driver, Sergia Olvera, 31, lost control, said Officer Joseph Miller of the California Highway Patrol." Check this out. I find it hard to believe that our government gets away with such crap. The Constitution, is supposed to protect us from such. There are some 750,000 names listed on our country's "Terrorist Watch List." That's THREE QUARTERS OF A MILLION people in this country who are suspected of terrorist connections. I don't believe that for one second. No way are there that many terrorist loonies inside our borders. The thing that really chaps my hide is that the government will not tell you if you've gotten yourself on the list, they will not explain how one gets on that list nor will they explain what steps one needs to take to get off the list. |

According to t his BBC news article, a British military communications satellite system is being delayed. The thing about this that interests me is it's name, "Skynet." If memory serves, wasn't that the name of the big super computer defense system that became self-aware in August 1997 and launched a nuclear attack on the USSR in order to get them to counterstrike and destroy it's enemies in the US in the Terminator movies? Hmmm... might this be life immitating art? |

It took me a little while to get into a mental state where I am able to do this. My Dad passed away a week ago today (10-29-2007). It was very sudden. It all happened when Mom and I were getting ready for work. I was sleepily going through my morning routine on auto-pilot. The next thing I knew Mom was yelling for me to call 911. I did so. Then went into the back part of the house to see what was going on. Mom was valiantly performing CPR on Dad and actually brought him back twice before the ambulance arrived. He lost conciousness again just before they arrived and they took over the CPR. The EMT's and the ER doc were unable to get his heart started again. Over the last few days I've been in a daze.
