The following is an excerpt from a daily email I get from JunckScience.com:

"World Meteorological Organization Flunks History
JunkScience.com, December 18, 2007

The World Meteorological Organization says 2007 is shaping up to be the fifth-warmest year on record and that this past year has seen, what it calls, a number of remarkable global climatic events, including the record melting of the Arctic Sea ice, which opened the Canadian Northwest Passage for the first time in recorded history.

However, Roald Amundsen and a six-man crew sailed the Northwest Passage in 1905 in their 70' sloop Gjøa while Robert McClure proved the route in 1854, winning a £10,000 prize for finding the Passage. So many have done so that there is a 'typical' route and at least a half-dozen others."

It just came to my attention that the wife of one of the regulars on the MS support mailing list I read has had a heart attack.  Please pray that she will make a full recovery and have no further complications.  In Jesus' name.

This past Friday, JY announced on the whootie owl net that his father had passed.  Please hold him up in your prayers.  I know how he feels as I lost my father just recently (the memorial service was held on 10/31/2007.)

Yesterday, my Mom went in to have a heart cath test done to see if blocked coronary arteries were to blame for a bad result on a stress test and some shortness of breath.  Anyway, the results were wonderful.  None of her arteries are blocked.  Praise God!  Now it's just a matter of finding out what the real problem is and addressing it.

It's about time.  I hope they're able to get some of the same actors to play characters that still existed in the Lord of The Rings trilogy.  For example, Elrond, Gollum, Galdalf and maybe even Bilbo.

Here is an open letter to the Secretary General of the UN and various heads of state.  It says that trying to prevent or stop climate change is ultimately futile and is a dangerous misalocation of resources that would be better used to help people and nations build wealth to be able to adapt to the inevitable climate changes that have affected humanity since we first became civilised.  It also states that the climate changes noted in the IPCC report that has been in the news lately fall within known normal ranges for climatic fluctuations and therfore are insufficient evidence of a climatic emergency.

It was signed by 100 prominent climate scientists, some of which were part of the IPCC group that wrote the report on which the summary that was in the news was based.

Why can't this atheist a$$hole just leave well enough alone.  He's already been slapped down by the supreme court once.  By the way he's acting you'd think that he was somehow actually being harmed.  He's not.  He's just trying to force his illogical, irational, atheist beliefs down the throats of the vast majority of Americans who actually beleive in God and like the fact that our money says "In God we trust." and that our pledge of allegiance says, "one nation under God."

This FoxNews.com article details a slap in the face to legal gun owners in Cleveland Ohio.  I have one question:  I bet that most of the guns collected in this usless, waste of Cleveland OH tax dollars will be barely functional junk.  No one, especially not a criminal, will take a mere $100 for a pistol in good working order.
