This line from the article just bums me out.  The  relatively recent hullabaloo about the confederate flag seems similar.

Is it any more unreasonable to be offended by a proud southerner flying a confederate flag just because some racist groups use it.  The same thing could be said:  "While some extremists and terrorists may fly the confederate flag, to reduce its meaning to support for racism has a tacit racist tone to it."  It's no different.

Does Obama even know what Memorial Day is about?  Apparently not.  This is almost as disturbing as his statement that he's been to 57 states.  I wonder if he only got into Harvard via affirmative action and only got to graduate for the same reason.  Obama is definitely an prime example of someone who only got where they are due to standards being lowered in order to make up for some perceived disadvantage he suffered due to his race.  Affirmative action poster boy being unable to function in the real world.

What a crock...  I'd have to wonder just how many of these people have cordless phones at home.  Most modern cordless phones use the same frequency as modern WIFI.  I find it hard to believe that if such an allergy did exist, they wouldn't be equally allergic to cordless phones.

Headlines like this are misrepresentative of the facts.  The way the headlines read, you'd think that the SUV was somehow culpable in the accident.  A more appropriate headline would be "Driver Loses Control, Sends SUV Plunging Down Hollywood Hillside...", or SUV Plunges Down Hollywood Hillside after Driver Loses Control.  I'd prefer the former.  I think such headlines are deliberately worded that way so that public opinion might be turned against SUVs.  This is simply an attempt to influence the car buying public away from buying SUVs.

A fellow ham, name and callsign withheld because I don't have permission to post it on the net, recently had a "mini-stroke."  I believe those are referred to as "TIA's."  Anyway, he's feeling better now.  However, he has a family history of these events and would appreciate your prayers.
